Some websites look like they've been written for ants. You can zoom in on the page, but then it zooms in on all the pictures, buttons, icons and turns the page into a cluttered mess. Leave your magnifying glass behind, you can now change text size.

No more weird fonts.

How about strange fonts that look closer to ancient symbols rather than letters? They might look cool in a web designer’s portfolio, but not when you’re trying to read them. You can now change the font to something sensible.

Questions

You can change text in four ways: color, size, weight, and font. If you haven't already, give it a try on our homepage.

Color, weight, and font are site-specific. What this means is that if you're on www.example.com, and you change color, weight, or font while on that site, it will keep those options on all pages of www.example.com. If you then navigate to www.example.com/about, it will use the settings you've configured for www.example.com since it's still the same site.

If you turn off your computer and come back to www.example.com the next day, you'll still have same settings configured. This means that you only need to customise the text once for a site, and it'll always be there.

If you then navigate to www.anothersite.com, you'll have to customise the text again. This way, you can have different options for different sites.

Size affects all sites however. If you change the size option on one site, it will affect all other sites too. This has been done to provide consistent text sizes across all sites, so that you never have to deal with tiny text that you cannot read.
